Questions about fit and wear

The ones we get asked most.

Go by your waist measurement rather than your usual clothing size. After a baby the two often stop matching, and that is exactly who this is made for. Measure just above your belly button, breathing out, with the tape flat and snug. If your waist and hips point to different sizes, take the larger one. Sizes run S to 5XL, and the full chart is in the Size & fit tab.

The high-rise waistband sits a short way above the navel, and the crossover bands spread the hold right around your middle rather than pressing on one spot — so there is no single tight band to fold over. There is no Velcro to work loose either. It stays where you put it, including when you sit down.

The edges are finished with a thin, flat stitched binding instead of bulky elastic, and the leg openings lie flat, so there is less to show through. It is made to sit smooth under jeans, leggings and fitted dresses.

The elastane lets it hold steady, move with you when you sit, bend and lift your baby, and return to shape wash after wash. No latex, no boning, no hard plastic edges.

That depends on you. Many women start using gentle support in the early weeks, but recovery is individual — particularly after a caesarean or a difficult birth. Ask your own midwife, OB or care provider what makes sense for you and when.

You can, and you do not need to. Plenty of women wear it through the day and give their body a break overnight; others keep it on for a nap or an evening on the sofa. The only rule is that it should always feel supportive, never restrictive. If it ever feels too tight to relax in, take it off.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, ideally in a laundry bag, or wash it by hand. Hang to dry. No tumble dryer, no bleach and no fabric softener — that is what keeps the elastane firm and the support feeling like it did on the first day.
